This Wire Wrapped Floral Lampwork Pendant makes a stunning statement with any outfit! Wear it on that special night out or to dress up your favorite pair of jeans and t-shirt.

The pendant in this piece is handmade by a local lampwork artist then wrapped by hand with top quality German Wire in Silver. This is a double strand necklace strung with green garnet nuggets and freshwater rice pearls and finished with a silver lobster claw clasp.

The beaded length is apprx. 20 inches with a 1 inch pendant drop for an overall length of 21 inches with a 1 inch extender chain.

Wire wrapping pendants or beads is a technique which requires pliable wire to be shaped around or onto a focal bead or pendant. The wire work is done by hand using only basic tools and may take many hours to create. Each pendant is a unique one of a kind work of art and rarely duplicated as the wire will work up differently each time.

As a piece progresses, the wire hardens and further strengthens a piece. It will retain it's shape, however if you try to bend it or it is stored without protection (bag, tissue, etc.) it can bend. Do not place your wire wrapped jewelry where movement can cause it to rub against other items (ie: purse or pocket).

With proper care* your Wire Wrapping will keep its "like new" appearance for many years:
*Keep it dry - Swimming, Showering, Dishwashing, and Sweating all contribute to wear and discoloration.
*Rest it - Daily wear may accelerate wear by continued exposure to activities and substances that promote "aging".
*Exposure - Avoid chemicals such as hairspray, chlorine, alcohol, make-up etc. from coming into contact with your jewelry.
*Cleaning - Gentle is key. A soft dry soft brush (toothbrush is good) first, or very slightly deals damp brush if that isn't enough. Read jewelry cleaning labels before using them especially on pearls.
*Storage - bag it, wrap it, cover it up. You can use a pouch, cotton filled jewelry box, tissue paper or bag to store it in between wearings. Minimize exposure to light and heat.
