Product code: Vintage G.H. French Sterling Silver Set of 4 deals Matchbox Covers with Some Matches
This is a set of 4 vintage monogrammed matchbox covers made by G.H. French. The monogram on the boxes looks to be either a T or an F but I am not sure which. They have a pretty striped art deco style pattern on one side of the cover They are signed by the maker and all marked sterling. They are in good vintage condition with a LOT of tarnish and some scratches and dings from normal use. There are also a few dark spots here and there. A good cleaning would brighten these up but I am leaving them with their natural aged patina. Two of the boxes still have deals matches in them and the other 2 have the outer cover for the matches but the inner box and matches are missing. Please see photos for more details on their condition. The total weight for the set of 4 is 52.7 but this includes the matchboxes inside as well. (Bin#MER1).
