As a textile designer I specialise in sourcing the most amazing and rare Vintage Kimono and Obi Silks from Kyoto & Osaka, Japan and make them into limited edition collections of cushions and accessories in my London Studio.

Dating from the 80's, In un used condition the bold design of this Obi belt is of large Deco style arches woven in metallic gold, green and white on a stunning orange to cream ombre satin silk, it reflect beautifully in the light.
The border is from the same obi belt with the ombre silk going from cream to orange which works perfectly with the main design.
The amazing detail of threads on the inside means the cushion is fully lined in cotton to protect the silk and make it more robust, with a zip opening, It includes a fat feather pad made in the UK. I feel privileged to work with these beautiful textiles and love finding these special silks.
My mission is to get them out of dark cupboards and give them a new lease of life so they can be appreciated as the works of art they truely are, back in our homes today, a unique gift for yourself or someone special.
These silks were made by artisans in Japan from another age, the workmanship and detail deserve to be seen.
