Beautiful antique glass perfume bottles, circe 1920s.
These matching bottles are hexagonal in shape (six sided), and have cabochon style decoration, similar to the appearance of polished jewelry stones, on all six sides in raised relief. The two bottles have glass stoppers, both of which have cabochon style glass decoration on each side, also in raised relief. The stoppers are frosted at the ends, as are the bottle necks on the inside.
These bottles are not signed as to manufacturer, and there are striations in the glass that can be seen on the bottom of each that are typical of antique glass.
The stoppers each have one slightly sharp edge on the side where the seam of the glass was pressed. There is a very small chip on the side of each bottle, almost unnoticeable, and you won't see them, but you'll feel them if you feel around the sides of each bottle slowly. There are no cracks, scratches or repairs on the bottles or the stoppers.
These bottles measure 7 inches tall with the stoppers, about 3 1/2 inches tall without the stoppers. The bottles measure 3 inches across deals at the base. Each bottle holds about one fluid ounce, and each bottle weighs almost one pound with the stopper.
These antique perfume bottles would make an impressive presentation on any dressing table, for use or display, for collectors, and would also make a fine gift.
